My Favorite Bags in My Collection

Ever since I could remember, I have been utterly fascinated with bags (and shoes but that's a separate post). A good bag is a staple accessory in every woman's closet and such a versatile piece she can wear everyday. I love to invest in a good bag because I know I'll be able to use it for many years to come and get my cost per wear out of it. I wanted to share a short description of my favorite bags to help you make a decision if you're in the market for one! Since I buy most of my bags on the pre-loved market I've also shared some of my favorite pre-loved luxury sites at the end of this post.

Chanel Classic Flap (small/jumbo)

The Jumbo Chanel CF was my holy grail bag for the longest time. The Jumbo is quite heavy but it fits a TON of items. I usually carry this if I'm going to have a long day, or if I want to be able to put my DSLR inside my bag (it fits with the body and lens detached). It's great if you love to carry your entire life with you every day or if you like a bigger handbag while travelling! The Small Chanel CF is my most-worn bag in my collection. It's the little black dress of bags. This bag fits my every day essentials and a little extra as well. It's in the same caviar leather as my jumbo CF which means it's durable and I don't need to fret too much if I get caught in the rain. The silver hardware is more modern and casual, but the bag still dresses up every outfit. Since I don’t currently have a proper evening bag, this is usually also the bag I use for dressy events. It's comfortable to wear and has quite a few organizational options inside. Since it's so versatile I end up reaching for this one so much because it styles effortlessly with everything. It's very hard-wearing and barely shows signs of wear even though I've definitely abused this bag.

Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Mini (Reverse Mono)

I love the caramel color of the Reverse Monogram and how it's a twist on the traditional color-way of this bag. Worn as a mini backpack or a cross-body, this bag is extremely convenient to use. It's ultra light-weight and the backpack is great for days when my back problems are acting up. This is also my favorite handbag for travel! It can squish into your suitcase without losing its shape. I bring this bag on trips often because it's fuss-free, the most durable bag I own (it's been caught in multiple downpours and still looks brand new), and it's comfortable when you're walking around and exploring for hours. It fits everything you may need like a small umbrella, a thin sweater, or a small water bottle.

Saint Laurent Sac Du Jour (Nano)

My top grab-and-go bag and my favorite "low-key" handbag. It has a simple and minimal design that focuses on its clean and beautiful construction and classic silhouette. This bag can be worn cross body or held by its top handle. The open top and shape make it very easy to just toss your things in and run out the door because you don't need to play Tetris with the bag to get it to close (I'm looking at you, Dior Saddle). Because of the open top design, it's my easiest bag to use day to day because you don't need to fuss with a zipper or flap when getting your items in and out of the bag. Also, its minimal and subtle branding makes this my go-to when I don't want my bag to shout "designer" for things like family functions or even every day tasks like doctor visits, work-related functions, casual get-togethers with friends, and quick errands. I love this one because I can actually fit a water bottle or umbrella and many other things inside even though the bag seems quite small. You can expand the accordion style bag so the bag actually has three size settings, making it a great every-day bag to fit various situations.

Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM/GM

When I think of Louis Vuitton, I think of luggage/utility pieces, which is probably why the brand was my go-to when needing some travel bags. While I don't have any outfit pictures featuring the Neverfulls, these are two of my most key pieces in my collection. I don't like to wear totes for daytime activities as I'm more of a small/medium handbag type of gal, but I know many who like to pair these with everyday outfits since they fit so much! The utility of these bags make them necessary for me for work and travel. The MM (medium size) is my work bag/gym bag and the GM (largest size) is what I use for travel/overnight/weekend trips! This bag is very light-weight, pairs with everything, and fits my 13.5 inch laptop, tech accessories, and a pair of heels that I need to carry with me when I'm on the go. It is a casual classic that will never go out of style. Both sizes fit perfectly under an economy plane seat. The name is perfect because it is seriously NEVER full and it's such a work horse. The coated canvas is very durable and can be squished into a luggage if you need to pack a spare bag for the return trip. The vachetta that is used on some of the color ways should not be exposed to water, but I haven't experienced any serious problems or watermarks after 1.5 years of use. I have basically dumped my entire office in this bag and it somehow hasn't fallen apart yet.

Pre-Loved Luxury Sites

I think it's so important to check pre-loved sites before buying retail as there's plenty of amazing finds for a fraction of the cost and it is also a more sustainable way of shopping! Below are a few of my favorite sites to find some luxury pieces.
